Cranberry Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans Bartlett pear halves
    1/3 c. dry white wine
    1 (2-inch) stick cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. whole cloves
    2 c. whole cranberries
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 oranges, peeled and chopped
    1/3 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan, place pears and syrup, wine, cinnamon stick and cloves.
    Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove pears, cinnamon and cloves.
    Reserve 6 pear halves and dice remainder.
