French Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew beef
    2 large onions, cut in eighths
    3 stalks celery, cut in diagonal lengths of 1 1/2-inches
    4 medium carrots, cut in lengths of 2-inches
    2 (12 oz.) cans V-8 juice
    1/3 c. quick cooking tapioca
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. basil (dry)
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 medium red potatoes
Preparation
    In 2 1/2-quart casserole, place beef and vegetables.
    Sprinkle sugar, tapioca and basil over and pour V-8 juice over.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Cut up potatoes and add.
    Bake another hour; stir occasionally.
