Ginger Crinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. shortening or oil
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Stir together first 5 ingredients. Combine the remaining ingredients and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating well.
    Form 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar, if desired.
    Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake about 10 minutes.
    Makes 48.
