Krispy Lunch Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    25 or 30 cucumbers
    8 onions
    2 sweet peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Wash and slice cucumbers and chop onions and bell peppers. Let stand 3 hours in cold water and salt, then drain.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and spice and boil.
    Put drained cucumbers in and heat, but do not boil.
    Put in jars and seal.
