Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cucumbers, sliced
    8 thinly sliced squash
    2 onions, sliced
    4 bell peppers, cut into rings
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Combine squash and onions.
    Sprinkle with salt and set aside for 1 hour.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, bell pepper rings and seed. Bring to a boil in a saucepan; add squash and onions and cucumbers. Bring to a boil again.
    Put in jars and seal.
    Better if chilled before serving.
    Makes 4 pints.
