Pineapple Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
2 3/4 c. plain all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 box confectioners sugar
3/4 c. crushed pineapple with juice
6 large eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Have ingredients at room temperature.
Cream shortening, butter and sugar; add eggs, 1 at a time.
Beat thoroughly.
Add flour alternately with milk.
Add pineapple and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes by clock. Pour into large tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Do not preheat oven.
Place cake in cold oven.
