Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. steak (round or flank)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 green peppers, minced
    1 c. canned beef bouillon
    1 c. drained, canned tomatoes or 3 tomatoes, quartered
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c. water
    rice
Preparation
    Melt shortening in skillet.
    Cut meat into 1-inch strips; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Fry meat, onion and garlic until brown.
    Add peppers and bouillon; cover and cook 30 minutes.
    Add tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes.
    Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and water.
    Add to meat mixture and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Serve over cooked rice.
    Serves 6.
