Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
4 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Thoroughly cream butter, sugar and vanilla; add eggs and beat well.
Blend in chocolate.
Stir in flour and nuts.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan in a slow oven (325\u00b0) 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool.
Frost with Mint Frosting.
Makes 32 (2-inch) squares.
