Hamburger Steaks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped fine
2 sticks butter
1 small can mushrooms
green pepper (optional)
Preparation

Mix together ground beef and 1/2 onion.
Make into patties. Brown in a skillet on both sides until about 1/2 done.
Pour grease off.
Add butter, other half of onion, can of mushrooms and green pepper.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Every 10 minutes, baste with the sauce the patties are simmering in.
