Taco Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. cooked ground beef
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 head lettuce, cut or shredded
1 pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
1 or 2 diced tomatoes
1 or 2 grated carrots
1 can kidney beans, drained (optional)
2 or 3 tortilla chips, crushed
Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients and heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Place remaining ingredients into bowl.
Add hamburg mixture.
Toss together with taco or Thousand Island dressing. Serve with whole tortilla chips and tomato wedges.
