Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cherries, drained (sour #2 can, reserve rest of cherries and juice for topping, see below)
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and egg.
Add milk, flour and baking powder.
Add cherries and nuts.
Stir all together and bake in a greased and floured 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
