Yeast Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. scalded milk
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 stick margarine
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Combine salt, sugar and milk; add eggs, shortening and yeast.
    Stir in flour (add more if needed).
    Let stand until double in bulk.
    Roll out; cut with doughnut cutter.
    Fry in deep, hot fat.
    If desired, make a confectioners glaze and spread over tops while very hot.
    \"Holes\" may be fried along with doughnuts.
    Makes 2 dozen.
