Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1/2 c. diced dates
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil brown sugar and water for a few minutes.
    Mix and pour other ingredients into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour the hot syrup mixture on top.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for approximately 30 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
