Italian Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage (1/2-inch slices)
    4 to 8 cloves fresh garlic
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can pear tomatoes
    1 1/2 qt. beef broth
    1/2 to 2 c. red wine
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    2 medium zucchini, sliced (optional)
    3 c. bow tie noodles
Preparation
    In a 5-quart kettle, brown sausage on medium heat.
    Drain fat. Add garlic and onions.
    Cook until limp.
    Stir in and break up tomatoes. Add broth, wine, basil, thyme and parsley.
    Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
    Add veggies and noodles.
    Cover and simmer 25 minutes more. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.
