Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    purple onion slices
    1 c. mayonnaise
    Parmesan cheese
    tomato wedges (optional)
    black olives (optional)
    cauliflower buds
    1 lb. crisp bacon
    2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In large flat cake pan, layer bite sized pieces of lettuce, cauliflower buds, thin slices of purple onion and crisp bacon (cooled and broken up).
    Mix mayonnaise and sugar and spread over top.
    Sprinkle rather heavily with grated Parmesan cheese. Refrigerate eight hours or overnight.
    Toss just before serving.
