Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumbers
    2 peppers (red and green) (optional)
    3 c. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    6 onions
    1/2 c. canning salt
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and onions; cut peppers in strips.
    Soak overnight in 1/2 cup canning salt.
    Drain well.
    Bring vinegar, sugar and spices to a boil.
    Add vegetables and let it come to a boil for 15 minutes.
    Pack in hot jars and seal.
