German Preserve Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2/3 c. cherry preserves
2/3 c. pineapple preserves
2/3 c. apricot preserves
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla. Mix well.
Sift flour and spices together; add alternately with buttermilk to which soda has been added.
Mix well and fold in the preserves and pecans.
Bake in a greased tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 90 minutes.
This is a moist cake.
Freezes well.
