Seven-Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, in bite size pieces
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 c. chopped celery (optional)
    1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1 small can Parmesan/Romano cheese
    3 boiled eggs
    bacon bits
    ripe tomatoes or red bell pepper
Preparation
    Layer ingredients as follows:
    1/2 lettuce, water chestnuts, chopped celery, frozen peas (thawed) and 1/2 cheese.
    Spread with mayonnaise like you are icing a cake.
    Add remaining lettuce, mayonnaise, cheese, sliced boiled eggs, bacon bits and tomatoes or pepper.
