Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg or mace
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped raisins
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift all dry ingredients together and combine with first mixture.
    Mix flour with raisins and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Pour into 8-inch layer cake pans and bake in a slow oven at 300\u00b0 about an hour or until cake leaves sides of pan.
