Easy Linguini With Red Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 doz. little neck clams (canned clams can be used)
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. Chablis or dry white wine
    1 (15 oz.) jar marinara spaghetti sauce
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (9 oz.) pkg. linguini
Preparation
    Scrub clams and set aside.
    Saute garlic in oil for 1 minute. Add wine and next 3 ingredients and bring to boil.
    Add clams, reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until clams open. While sauce simmers, cook linguini.
    Divide linguini into large soups bowls and top with sauce and add cheese if so choose.
