Pineapple Upside Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. cold water
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine
5 pineapple slices
5 maraschino cherries
Preparation

Cream shortening, add sugar.
Mix well.
Add eggs, beat well. Sift flour, mix water with vanilla.
Add alternately with flour until well blended.
Melt butter in large skillet, with brown sugar until sugar is melted.
Arrange pineapple slices adding cherries in center.
Spread batter over pineapple.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
