Sugar Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    2 c. milk or half and half
    1 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. cornstarch
Preparation
    Heat milk and butter until it steams.
    Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt; beat egg and vanilla.
    Add to hot mixture.
    Cook and stir constantly until thick.
    Pour into a baked pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
