English Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    2 c. plain flour, sifted
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar and add egg yolk.
    Sift flour and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture.
    Spread into 10 x 15 cookie sheet.
    Beat egg white slightly and spread over mixture.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cut into squares while hot.
