Stewed Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    canned black-eyed peas
    onion
    garlic
    margarine
    fresh celery leaves or parsley leaves
    3 to 4 cloves green pepper
    curry powder
    black pepper
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut, chop or dice onion and garlic; put in pot with large pieces of green pepper, celery leaves and cloves.
    Saute in margarine.
    Pour black-eyed peas with juice.
    Season with enough curry to taste and color (not too yellow), garlic powder and a little black pepper.
    Let simmer down, stirring periodically.
    Let water dry out without burning; remove green pepper and celery leaves before serving.
    Serve over plain rice or separately.
