Sweet And Sour Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes
1 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 c. shredded carrots
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation

In 3-quart saucepan, brown meat in hot oil; drain excess oil and add remaining ingredients, except cold water and cornstarch. Cover and cook in low heated oven until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
Blend cold water with cornstarch; add to stew.
Cook and stir until thick.
Serve over noodles or rice.
