Chocolate Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa (or 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate)
    3 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and cocoa together; gradually stir in milk.
    Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils; boil 1 minute.
    Remove from
    heat.
    Gradually stir 1/2 of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks.
    Return all to saucepan.
    Boil one minute more, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.
    Pour immediately into nine-inch baked pie shell. Spread meringue over hot filling, sealing to edges of crust.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 about 8 to 10 minutes.
    Use meringue recipe with lemon pie.
