Bread And Butter Pickles(Sandwich Pickles) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. medium size cucumbers, thinly sliced
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
8 small onions, thinly sliced
1/2 c. cooking salt
5 c. weak cider vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Combine cucumbers, onions, peppers and cooking salt and cover with water.
Let stand 3 hours.
Drain.
Bring to a boil the sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed. Add drained vegetables and just bring to a boil.
Put into sterilized jars and seal.
