Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon
    1 medium chopped onion
    1/2 c. okra
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 lb. cleaned raw shrimp
    1 can tomatoes
    1 can water
Preparation
    Fry bacon and onion over low heat until onion is transparent and bacon is crisp.
    In Dutch oven, add bacon ad onion.
    Add the tomatoes and okra, salt, black pepper and oregano.
    Add sugar, bouillon cubes and water.
    Simmer slowly about 2 hours.
    Add 1 cup cooked rice.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add shrimp; simmer 15 minutes or until shrimp are pink.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Serve.
