Saucy Chicken-Mushroom Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. uncooked rice
    2 carrots, peeled and chopped
    1 (1.2 oz.) envelope dry onion soup
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 c. water
    3 to 3 1/2 lb. skinned chicken, cut up
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
Preparation
    Mix rice and carrots in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    In bowl, blend soup mix, mushroom soup and water; pour 1/3 of this over rice. Arrange chicken, meaty side up.
    Scatter sliced mushrooms around chicken.
    Pour remaining soup mixture over chicken and mushrooms. Cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, until chicken is fully cooked and rice is tender.
