Blueberry Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. blueberries
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook berries and sugar with enough water to cover. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until the texture of peas. Add milk and mix. Drop dumplings into boiling berry mixture and cook 10 minutes, uncovered, and 10 minutes, covered. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
