Lemon Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
1 lb. flour (about 3 c.)
1 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
2 oz. pure lemon extract
1 lb. white raisins
1 lb. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter in mixer; add sugar gradually.
Mix baking powder with flour and sift.
Leave out about 1/2 cup to pour over fruit. Mix eggs one at a time to batter, then flour and extract.
Mix raisins and nuts in batter.
Grease large tube pan and bake at low 325\u00b0 or lower 1 hour or longer until tested done.
Cook cake in oven with door open.
Keep in refrigerator before cutting.
This is the best cake for Christmas.
