Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 stick butter
Preparation

Beat egg yolks and add small amount buttermilk.
Mix.
Add sugar, flour and salt; beat all until smooth.
Add buttermilk and butter.
Cook in skillet on top of stove until thick.
Stir constantly to prevent sticking.
Pour into baked pie crust and top with meringue.
Bake until browned.
