Sweet Pepper Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. ground onion
4 c. ground cabbage
4 c. ground green tomato
6 red peppers
12 green peppers
1/2 c. salt
4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. celery salt
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
Preparation

Combine onion, cabbage, tomato, peppers and salt; let stand overnight.
Drain and rinse.
Combine sugar, celery seed, mustard seed, turmeric, vinegar and water; pour over drained vegetables. Simmer for 3 minutes.
Seal in pint jars while hot.
The mixture may also be cooled and frozen.
