Red Chili Puree Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 9 (3 oz.) dried New Mexico or California chiles
    2 c. water
    1 small chopped onion
    2 garlic cloves
Preparation
    Arrange chiles on large baking sheet and bake in a 300\u00b0 oven until chiles smell toasted\t(about 4 minutes).
    Let cool; discard stems and seeds.
