Spinach Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach or 5 oz. bulk fresh spinach, washed thoroughly and tough stems removed
    1 large purple onion, cut into rings
    1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, thawed
    4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
    1 (5 3/4 oz.) can water chestnuts, chopped
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. salad dressing
    6 oz. grated Swiss cheese
    parsley sprigs (for garnish)
Preparation
    Tear lettuce and spinach into bite size chunks and place in a large serving bowl. Add onion rings, thawed peas, chopped eggs, bacon and water chestnuts.
    Sprinkle mixture with sugar, salt and pepper. Toss thoroughly.
