Simple Sweet Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    8 Tbsp. (1 stick) cold, unsalted butter, cut up
    1/4 c. granulated sugar (use 1/3 c. for slightly sweeter scones)
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat
    oven
    to 425\u00b0.
    Put flour, baking powder and salt into a
    large bowl;
    stir to mix well.
    Add butter and cut in with pastry
    blender
    or
    rub
    in with your fingers until the mixture looks
    like
    fine granules.
    Add sugar;
    toss to mix. Add
    milk and
    stir with a fork until soft dough forms.
    Form dough into
    a ball; put on a lightly floured board and give 10 to 12 kneads. Roll out dough to about 12 x 5 1/2-inches.\tCut with
    a
    2-inch cutter.
    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Delicious with
    butter
    and honey
    or preserves.
    Makes eighteen 2-inch rounds.
