Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 cups sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 cups plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can coconut
    1 cup chopped nuts
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cream margarine, shortening and sugar. Beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well. Combine flour, soda and
    add alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla. Add coconut and nuts. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Makes 3 or 4 layer cake.
