Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 lb. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar,
    salt and baking powder.
    Melt shortening and add to
    dry
    ingredients.
    Stir
    well
    and
    allow to cool. Add eggs, one at
    a
    time,
    mixing
    well.
    Add nuts and chocolate bits.
    Bake in 11 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
