Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. canned cherries, drained
    1/4 c. cherry juice
Preparation
    Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Pour into greased baking dish, 9 x 9-inch.
    Combine cherries with remaining sugar and 1/4 cup juice and heat.
    Pour cherries over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serve warm.
    Delicious topped with cream or ice cream.
    When baked, cherries will be at the bottom and cake on top.
