Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. fine breadcrumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. applesauce
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine ingredients except butter.
    Mix well and form into 48 small balls.
    Brown in butter; then add water to simmer, about 1 1/2 cups.
    Cook covered 15 minutes.
    Serve over rice or noodles. These freeze well and can be made smaller to use as an appetizer.
