Ingredients

9 large cloves garlic, peeled
4 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
chicken breasts, sliced into large strips
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 c. sliced mushrooms
3/4 c. white wine
1 bay leaf
3/4 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
Preparation

Press 4 garlic cloves in small dish with lemon juice.
Rub mixture over chicken.
Marinate 10 minutes.
Melt butter and oil in large skillet.
Add chicken; saute until browned.
Add mushrooms, wine, bay leaf and remaining garlic.
Cover and cook 10 minutes.
Blend mustard and broth and add to skillet.
Cook, covered, another 15 minutes.
Remove chicken and whole garlic. Discard bay leaf.
Bring pan liquids to a boil and cook until reduced and thickened.
Pour over chicken.
Spread garlic cloves on crusty French baguette.
