Strawberry Salad Supreme - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. reconstituted frozen lemonade
1/4 c. maraschino cherry liquid
8 maraschino cherries, cut in halves
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 c. ginger ale
3/4 c. Cool Whip
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. strawberries, sliced
1/4 c. slivered almonds
Preparation

Sprinkle gelatin over lemonade in small saucepan to soften. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved.
Pour into large bowl; add ginger ale, Cool Whip, maraschino cherry liquid and salt.
Beat until smooth.
Chill until mixture has the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
Fold in strawberries, almonds and cherries.
Pour into 5-cup crown mold and refrigerate until firm.
Empty mold contents on serving plate. Garnish as desired.
Serves 6 to 8.
