Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising flour
2 c. self-rising corn meal
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped
1 3/4 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Drop by spoonful into deep fryer. Mixture may be kept in refrigerator for several days.
