Oven Fried Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. fryer chicken, cut up
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0. Wash chicken and pat dry. Put shortening and butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Place in oven to melt.
Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper. Coat chicken thoroughly with flour mixture. Place chicken, skin side down, in melted shortening. Cook, uncovered, 30 minutes. Turn and cook 30 minutes more or until fork-tender.
