Watergate Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. pistachio instant pudding
    1 small can pineapple, crushed with juice
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped (optional)
    1 c. coconut (optional)
    1 (6 oz.) jar cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a large bowl and stir until well blended.
    Refrigerate.
    When ready to serve, place on lettuce leaves.
