Cream Of Carrot Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 carrots, grated
    1 onion, minced
    2 potatoes, diced
    2 whole cloves
    1 bay leaf
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Place carrots, onion, potatoes and cloves in large pot.
    Cover with water and bring to a boil (with bay leaf).
    Simmer 45 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Puree the mixture.
    Return to pot and add milk.
    Bring to boil again.
    Remove from heat and season. Stir in well beaten yolks and butter.
