Ingredients

1 c. unsifted cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. egg whites (at room temperature)
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. orange extract
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
3 Tbsp. orange juice
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
Preparation

Sift together flour and 3/4 cup sugar. In a large bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until frothy. Gradually add remaining sugar, beating until stiff peaks hold. Beat in extracts. Gradually add flour-sugar mixture. Pour into ungreased 10-inch tube pan, folding gently. Bake at 350\u00b0 about 45 minutes or until done. Invert cake to cool. Mix together confectioners sugar, orange juice and orange peel. Use to frost cake.
