Roux With No Fat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 or 3 c. self-rising flour
    chopped dehydrated onions
Preparation
    In heavy skillet or pot at medium-low heat put flour in pan. Do not spray or add any oil.
    (The reason I use so much flour is so I can store some for later use.)
    Stir occasionally until brown.
    This will take about 35 to 45 minutes.
    Use amount needed according to recipe calling for roux.
    Example:
    Flour to be browned for gravy, add dehydrated onions (because they are browned without oil or fat).
