Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. flour
    3 tsp. salt
    2 dashes pepper
    4 Tbsp. water
    1 qt. oysters with liquor
    2 qt. scalded milk
    paprika
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt, pepper and water.
    Blend to a smooth paste.
    Stir in oysters and their liquor.
    Simmer oysters over very low heat until edges curl, then pour into scalded milk. Remove pan from heat; cover and let stand 15 minutes.
    Have tureen and soup plates hot; drop in some butter or margarine.
    Reheat stew briefly and serve piping hot.
    Pour into tureen; sprinkle with paprika.
