Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 c. butter
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour 5 more times.
    Cream butter well.
    Gradually add sugar and beat until smooth.
    Add 1 egg at a time, blending well after each.
    Then beat very hard and long, the longer, the better. Add flour and beat well.
    Add vanilla; pour into greased tube pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 50 minutes.
